Craig Bryson: 'Derby County must take chances'

Craig Bryson urges Derby County to be more assured in front of goal, following a second successive defeat at the hands of Brighton & Hove Albion.

Craig Bryson has challenged his Derby County men to be less wasteful in front of goal, following their 2-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.

County slumped to their second loss in a week after goals from Dale Stephens and Kazenga LuaLua gave the Seagulls three points at the Amex Stadium.

However, Bryson has suggested that Derby might return to winning ways if they can end their profligacy in front of goal.

He told Rams Player: "We came at the blocks flying at the start of the second half, but we have to take our chances when they come.

"We have to be more ruthless in both boxes. We are conceding too many sloppy goals and that comes about from sloppy defending from everybody.

"At the other end, we have had chances, the first goal is so important in this league and if we had scored the first goal we would have gone on to win by two or three goals."

Derby, who are one point off the top of the Championship, host Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon.
