Vital point for Deportivo La Coruna

Deportivo La Coruna and Real Valladolid spurn chances to play out a goalless draw in La Liga.

Deportivo La Coruna earned a valuable point against Real Valladolid in their La Liga match this evening.

Both sides had chances in the opening 45 minutes, Oscar looking the most dangerous for the visitors.

Deportivo created the most opportunities but lacked accuracy and rarely called Daniel Hernandez into action.

The hosts defenders had no answer for Oscar, who continued to create countless opportunities for Valladolid in the second half.

La Liga's bottom side had a series of chances in the final minutes of the game, but continued to struggle to find the target.

Diogo Salomao and Nelson Oliveira both saw shots which would have sealed a win for Deportivo go wide in the 90th minute.

The draw means Deportivo are just one point from safety in the table, while Valladolid climb to eighth.
