Deportivo La Coruna thrash Levante

Deportivo La Coruna move out of the bottom three in La Liga with a thumping 4-0 win against Levante.

Three first-half goals and a late fourth have given Deportivo La Coruna a thumping win away to Levante in La Liga to move them out of the bottom three.

The match started evenly and with few chances, but Deportivo went ahead in the 12th minute through Juan Carlos Valeron's powerful effort from the edge of the box.

In the 20th minute it was 2-0 and Pizzi, who fired home from outside the box, bettered Valeron's earlier effort.

The visitors were not done there and in another eight minutes they added their third. This time Nelson Oliveira worked space before driving towards goal and shooting low and hard into the bottom corner.

In the second half the game slowed down slightly but Levante should have been level 20 minutes after the restart as Roger Marti's header could not beat Dani Aranzubia.

However, they were unable to muster a good enough chance to get themselves back in the game and Depor in the end added a late fourth through Bruno Gama.
