Deportivo La Coruna reveal Lucas Perez injury

Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Lucas Perez suffers a knee injury in Sunday's goalless draw with Espanyol.

Deportivo La Coruna have confirmed that Lucas Perez suffered a knee injury in Sunday's goalless draw with Espanyol.

The midfielder, who is currently on loan at Depor from PAOK, picked up the injury in the early stages of the La Liga contest in Barcelona.

"[Lucas] has a medical examination from the bench and in the dressing room, it was revealed that he had a bruise on his left knee," read a statement from the Spanish club.

It is understood that the winger will undergo tests later this evening to determine the extent of the damage, but Deportivo are hopeful that a scan will bring good news.
