Crystal Palace defender Jack Hunt has joined Barnsley on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old full-back recently made a return to fitness after breaking his ankle back in September.

"For what's available at this moment in time, Jack's head and shoulders above everyone else," Barnsley boss Danny Wilson told the club's official website.

"He's been injured for a while and is short of match practice but we know enough about him to know what a terrific player he is."

Barnsley continue their Championship campaign on Saturday when they travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
