Steven Pressley keen on Gary Madine deal

Coventry City boss Steven Pressley hopes that Gary Madine will join the club from Sheffield Wednesday on a permanent basis.

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has admitted that he would like to bring Gary Madine to the club on a permanent basis.

The striker is currently on loan to the League One side from Sheffield Wednesday until January 4.

Pressley says he has been impressed with the impact that Madine has made with the Sky Blues.

"We have to insure that we bring Gary to this club and we will be working very hard to do that," he told the Coventry Telegraph.

"He's settled in really well here and now his fitness levels are getting where they need to be you can tell what a prospect he is.

"In terms of linking the play and bringing other players into the game he's so important to us – the focal point we've been looking for since we lost Leon Clarke."

Madine has scored two goals in five appearances since joining Coventry.
