Ten-man Deportivo La Coruna hold Cordoba

Winless Cordoba are held by 10-man Deportivo La Coruna after Federico Nicolas Cartabia misses a first-half penalty.

Cordoba made it 11 games without a win in La Liga this season, but have now claimed a valuable point with a 0-0 draw against fellow strugglers Deportivo La Coruna.

However, Miroslav Dukic's side will feel that they should have taken all three points after Federico Nicolas Cartabia saw his 17th-minute penalty saved by Fabricio Agosto Ramirez.

Deportivo were then reduced to 10 men when Helder Postiga was dismissed for a second yellow card after just half an hour.

However, the home side couldn't make their numerical advantage count, despite threatening to take the lead through Abel Gomez on 67 minutes.

Cordoba substitute Xisco went close with a header 15 minutes from time, before Abel saw a powerful effort saved by Fabri in the Deportivo goal.

The result keeps Cordoba anchored to the bottom of the La Liga table, while Deportivo move away from danger and up to 15th place.
