Colchester United confirm that Kem Izzet has left the club by mutual consent.

A statement on Colchester United's official Twitter has confirmed that Kem Izzet has left the club by mutual consent.

The 32-year-old, who has spent 12 years with the club, has not made the squad for any of their league matches so far this season.

"(Izzet) has today ended his twelve year association with the club, parting by mutual consent," tweeted the League One club.

Izzet leaves having made 471 appearances for the Essex outfit.
