Chievo and Parma have played out a 1-1 draw with each other in Verona in Serie A.

The Flying Donkeys dominated proceedings in the first half, with Cyril Thereau coming close on two occasions in the opening 10 minutes.

Antonio Mirante made a quick recovery in the Parma goal to keep out Gennaro Sardo's cross-turned-shot on the half-hour mark.

Then much against the run of play the visitors took the lead in the 40th minute, Ishak Belfodil receiving Nicola Sansone's pass and beating Christian Puggioni with the outside of his left foot.

However, Chievo restored parity 11 minutes after the restart, Sansone's sloppiness allowing Thereau to put in a delivery that Alberto Paloschi headed home.

Mirante kept out a good effort from Thereau and was lucky to see Marco Andreolli's header go wide in the closing minutes of the encounter.
