Gary Johnson to hold Cheltenham Town talks

Gary Johnson reveals that he is due to hold talks over his future at Cheltenham Town following the club's relegation from the Football League.

Cheltenham Town boss Gary Johnson has revealed that he will hold talks over his future following the club's relegation from the Football League.

The Robins dropped out of League Two on Saturday with a 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury Town.

Johnson's short-term deal is due to expire at the end of the season, and the 59-year-old has remained coy over whether he will remain at Whaddon Road.

"I hope to give the board of directors and the staff a good run down of how I've seen it and we will see what happens after that," the former Yeovil Town manager told the Gloucestershire Echo.

"It's a nice club and a genuine club, with some genuine people on the board. I want the club to do well so we will see what happens. I am not saying yes I will stay, or no I will leave. It's not the time straight away to make those decisions because I am down about what has happened."

Cheltenham play their final game of the season on May 2 when they make the trip to AFC Wimbledon.
