Chelsea defender Ashley Cole could reportedly become a target for Liverpool at the end of the season.

Cole's contract at Stamford Bridge expires in June, and after not featuring for the Blues since January 26, the left-back is expected to depart the Premier League leaders in the summer.

According to The Metro, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to add the experienced defender to his squad at Anfield as they plan for European football during the next campaign.

It is being reported that Cole, who has also been linked with a move to the MLS, could be offered a 12-month deal.
