Chelsea midfielder Thorgan Hazard joins Borussia Monchengladbach on loan for the 2014-15 season.

Borussia Monchengladbach have announced that Thorgan Hazard has joined the club on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

The club had been one of three Bundesliga sides pursuing the Belgian, who is the younger brother of Eden Hazard.

Gladbach's sporting director Max Eberl said in a statement: "Thorgan is a promising talent. He is an attacker who can play in several positions and we are delighted he has chosen to take the next step in his career with Borussia Monchengladbach."

Hazard spent last season on loan for Belgian side Zulte Waregem, where he was awarded the Golden Shoe for being voted the league's best player.
