Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe insists that the club will not entertain offers for striker Callum Wilson, who has been linked with a £35m move to Chelsea.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has ruled out the possibility of selling Callum Wilson amid speculation linking the striker with a move to Chelsea.

The Blues are reported to be willing to pay up to £35m for Wilson, who has scored six goals in 11 Premier League games so far this season.

The 26-year-old's form has earned him a maiden call-up to the England squad for next week's matches against USA and Croatia, and Howe insisted that he does not want to break up the squad he is building at the Vitality Stadium.

When asked whether the club would entertain any interest in Wilson, Howe told the Bournemouth Echo: "Of course not. From my position, sitting here as the manager, I'm looking to build a team.

"I still feel we are a relatively new team with this group of players and the signings we made in the summer. I'm really pleased with how the squad is set up and the structure of it and I don't want to break that."

Wilson scored his 50th goal for Bournemouth during last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Manchester United.
