Chelsea reportedly ponder a January bid for Porto midfielder Joao Moutinho and keep Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao at the top of their transfer wishlist.

Chelsea have reportedly placed Porto star Joao Moutinho on their transfer wishlist for next month.

The Blues, who are believed to be prepared to sell forward Daniel Sturridge to Liverpool, are thought to be ready to strengthen in the January window, with Atletico Madrid frontman Radamel Falcao being their main target.

While Blues owner Roman Abramovich is keen to lure the Colombian to Stamford Bridge, the Russian billionaire is also thought to be interested in triggering Porto midfielder Moutinho's £28.5m buyout clause, according to the Daily Star.

Moutinho was previously close to a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer but reports have claimed that the North London outfit will miss out on signing the Portugal international next month.
