John Terry hails Gary Cahill move

John Terry praises the arrival of fellow England defender Gary Cahill at Chelsea after his transfer from Bolton.

Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that Gary Cahill can be a key factor in the future success of the club.

Cahill completed his £7m move to Stamford Bridge from Bolton this week and Terry expects the central defender to have a big impact on Andre Villas-Boas's team.

Terry told Sky Sports News: "He's a really solid defender, he can play left and right foot, he's great in air and is quick as well. He also scores a lot of important goals, which could be key for us over this campaign.

"The manager chops and changes players here and there, so we're expecting that. Whoever plays, we are just strengthening our squad and hopefully securing the future for Chelsea."

The West London club are currently fourth in the Premier League, 11 points behind leaders Manchester City.
