John Terry hopes for Chelsea run

Chelsea captain John Terry is hoping that the team can open up a lead at the top of the Premier League again with another unbeaten run.

John Terry has said that he is hoping Chelsea can go on another unbeaten run to re-establish their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

The Blues had a comfortable lead at the helm in November, but yesterday's 5-3 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur leaves them only ahead of Manchester City on alphabetical order.

The captain told the club's website: "It's hard to see them claw us back. We were eight points in front and now we're level on points.

"It's disappointing to have lost that lead but we said in the dressing room we'll come together, put a run together, and hopefully get a lead again.

"We're very disappointed to start the New Year with a defeat but we'll move on from this. I thought at times we played some really good football but it just wasn't our day so we'll forget this one and move on very quickly."
