Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho: 'My players not getting the respect they deserve'

Jose Mourinho says that his Chelsea players are not getting the respect that they deserve following today's defeat to Liverpool.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has claimed that his players have not been getting the respect that they "deserve".

The Portuguese coach oversaw his side suffer a sixth Premier League defeat in this afternoon's 3-1 loss to Liverpool.

There are reports that Mourinho is on the verge of losing his job, but during his post-match press conference, the Portuguese coach said that he did not believe that today was his last game in charge of the Blues.

"The players tried," Mourinho told reporters. "You could feel the attitude. You could feel the desire and that the game was 50/50. If you saw some individual performances below a normal level - there were not many. Two at maximum.'

"I have some players who are really sad in the dressing room. As professionals, they are not getting the respect they deserve. What happens now? I will go home. I will find a sad family. I will try and watch some of the rugby and disconnect."

The result was Jurgen Klopp's first Premier League win as a Liverpool manager.
