Chelsea skipper John Terry: 'Top-four finish still possible'

John Terry believes that Chelsea can finish in the Premier League's top four after a narrow 1-0 win over 10-man Arsenal.

Chelsea captain John Terry has claimed that the Blues can still finish in the Premier League's top four after beating Arsenal 1-0 in Sunday's London derby at the Emirates.

Diego Costa scored the winner midway through the first half five minutes after Per Mertesacker was sent off for a professional foul on the Spanish striker as Chelsea extended their unbeaten league run against Arsenal to nine games.

Victory moves Chelsea up to 13th in the table, 14 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, and prevents Arsenal from retaking top spot.

"It is a good three points and gets us up the league," Terry told Sky Sports News. "We've drawn too many of late so we needed to pick up three points.

"Mentally we were sound and on top. As soon as they had the man sent off they sat back so we pressed up higher and won the ball back. We are delighted with the win.

"Anything is doable. Everybody is beating everybody else. It is a tough league and if we put a run together we have a good chance (of fourth). We will fight until there are no points to play for."

Chelsea are still unbeaten under Guus Hiddink since the departure of Jose Mourinho and hold the league's longest unbeaten run of seven matches.
