Thibaut Courtois has insisted that he has a positive working relationship with his fellow goalkeeper Petr Cech at Chelsea.
Following a three-year loan stint with Atletico Madrid, 22-year-old Courtois returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer and he has so far been preferred between the posts to Cech, who has kept goal for the Blues for the last decade.
However, despite the competition that exists between the duo, Courtois has revealed that he has a "great" understanding with Cech.
"Petr Cech is still a great goalkeeper, so it is a great battle for the number one spot. I remember I had other years with other goalkeepers where the relationship was not good. He didn't speak and there was no laughing or fun, but I have to say that here [with Cech] it is really great," the Belgium international told Sky Sports News.
Courtois has conceded seven goals in five outings in all competitions this season.
