Jamie Carragher: 'Liverpool hold title advantage'

Jamie Carragher says that it is advantage Liverpool in the Premier League title race following Chelsea's progression to the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Jamie Carragher believes that Chelsea's progression in the Champions League gives former club Liverpool a "slight advantage" in the Premier League title race.

The Blues overcame Paris Saint-Germain to advance to the semi-finals, setting up a two-legged affair against either Bayern Munich, Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid.

However, Jose Mourinho's side must travel to Anfield in between those two fixtures, in a match widely regarded by some as a potential title decider.

"It's a slight advantage for Liverpool, as they play Chelsea in between the two Champions League games," Carragher told Sky Sports News. "They could pick up an injury, and may go to Anfield after of a Champions League away game. I don't think it harms Liverpool's chances at all."

Liverpool hold a two-point lead over Chelsea, while Manchester City are currently four points adrift in third place with two games in hand over their rivals.
