Cesar Azpilicueta praises Chelsea intensity

Cesar Azpilicueta praises his Chelsea teammates for their 'intense' brand of football this season.

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has praised the team for their 'intense' brand of football this season.

The Blues are currently two points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League table, while they are also in the semi-finals of the Champions League.

Azpilcueta believes that a lot of Chelsea's success during the current campaign is down to their focused and energetic approach out on the pitch.

"I think, in all the games here in England, you need to be 100% concentrated because it is always difficult. You need to have the intensity to approach the game in the right way," he told the club's official website.

"We have done very well against the other teams around us in the table, not just in terms of intensity but because we were pressing well and controlling the game. This is the best way to win."

Chelsea continue their Premier League campaign on Saturday when they welcome Sunderland to Stamford Bridge.
