Jose Mourinho frustrated by draw with Liverpool

Jose Mourinho says that Chelsea are not favourites to reach the League Cup final, after earning a 1-1 draw in the first leg of their semi-final against Liverpool.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has said that he is frustrated by his side's performance against Liverpool in their League Cup tie this evening.

The Blues had taken the lead through an Eden Hazard penalty, but a second-half goal from Raheem Sterling ensured that the first leg of their semi-final clash ended in a draw.

"It's a draw. I am not sad as a defeat, not as happy as a victory," he told BBC Sport.

"My emotion is in the middle. I'm not saying we are favourites now. This semi-final was two legs and now it's only one match and that's at Stamford Bridge. We defended well and our goalkeeper was good.

"It was a bit frustrating because the way Liverpool play we recovered lots of balls, and caught them lots of times with just three defenders, but we missed lots of passes in transitions that could have been dangerous."

The second leg will be played at Stamford Bridge next Tuesday.
