Chelsea midfielder Ramires is to miss Wednesday's visit of Bolton Wanderers in the League Cup due to an adductor injury.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has been ruled out of Wednesday's visit of Bolton Wanderers in the League Cup through injury.

The Brazilian was forced off with an adductor problem on Sunday during his side's 1-1 draw at Manchester City in the Premier League.

Blues assistant coach Steve Holland confirmed on Tuesday that the 27-year-old will miss tomorrow's clash at Stamford Bridge as part of his recovery.

Chelsea reached the fifth round of last season's League Cup before being knocked out by Sunderland.
