Juan Mata expecting more involvement this season

Juan Mata reveals that he expects to play "a lot of games" for Chelsea this season after returning to the side for Tuesday's win over Steaua Bucuresti in the Champions League.

Chelsea winger Juan Mata has revealed that he expects to play "a lot of games" this season after returning to the side for Tuesday's win over Steaua Bucuresti in the Champions League.

The Spanish international has failed to secure a regular place in the side during the current campaign, with manager Jose Mourinho often favouring Brazilian playmaker Oscar.

However, Mata impressed in Romania as the Blues earned a comprehensive 4-0 victory in Group E.

"I just keep going, train well and prepare for every game," he told the club's official website. "I just have to do my best in training and in games.

"It's important to play with the ball and without the ball, but I'm very happy and looking forward to playing a lot of games throughout the season."

Chelsea continue their Premier League campaign on Sunday when they face Norwich City at Carrow Road.
