Chelsea's Cesc Fabregas doubt for Paris Saint-Germain clash due to illness

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho suggests that Cesc Fabregas is a doubt for this evening's Champions League last-16 clash against Paris Saint-Germain due to illness.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that Cesc Fabregas could be left out of the team for tonight's clash against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League due to illness.

The Spaniard came off the bench to play in the final 20 minutes of Chelsea's 1-0 win over Everton last weekend following a bout of injury, but a heavy cold is reportedly hampering the midfielder's chances of playing in the last-16 clash in Parc des Princes.

"Fabregas has been ill," Mourinho told reporters. "We are a different team with Fabregas, I'm not saying better or worse, I'm saying different.

"Without him, we lose some control, some possession, we become the same team, well organised, good in transition. But with him, we control the game better."

Fabregas joined Chelsea from Barcelona last summer.
