Celtic boss Neil Lennon says that his players would "love" an Old Firm cup tie but insists he is focused on the league.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has said that his players would relish the prospect of taking on Rangers in the Scottish League Cup.

The Hoops boss admitted that an Old Firm cup tie is likely with both teams through the to quarter-finals of the competition, but insisted he is focused on the league.

"If we keep winning and they keep winning in competitions then there is a good chance of that [meeting] but we will see what the draw brings," Lennon told Sky Sports News.

"The players love the [Old Firm] games. Whether we get an Old Firm game or not I don't know, it is not on my radar yet because it has not materialised.

"We are just pretty motivated into making inroads into the top of the table and obviously we have a big game coming up next week."

Celtic reached the quarters with a 4-1 victory over Raith Rovers, in which Gary Hooper scored all of their goals.

Third Division Rangers saw off Premier League leaders Motherwell 2-0 in the previous round.
