Ronny Deila hails heroic Craig Gordon

Ronny Deila hails Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon for his performance in their 2-2 Europa League draw away to Red Bull Salzburg.

Celtic boss Ronny Deila has praised goalkeeper Craig Gordon for his performance in tonight's 2-2 draw away to Red Bull Salzburg in the Europa League.

The Scot pulled off a series of impressive saves that ultimately proved crucial as the Bhoys return to Glasgow with a point from their Group D opener.

"He has been good all season but he is progressing all the time and getting better and better," Deila is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.

"He is a top professional, fantastic man and I am so glad to have him in the group."

Deila's side took a first-half lead through Wakaso Mubarak, but that was cancelled out by Alan prior to the break.

Scott Brown struck on the hour mark to swing the clash in Celtic's favour but Jonathan Soriano levelled up once again for the Austrian champions.
