Steven Caulker eyes Manchester double

Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker admits that it would be an "amazing achievement" if the club could secure a second victory over a Manchester side this season.

Cardiff City defender Steven Caulker has revealed that the club are hoping to send a message to their rivals by securing their second big scalp of the season.

The Bluebirds, who are competing in their first Premier League campaign, defeated Manchester City in August, and Caulker has admitted that the Welsh outfit are looking for a repeat performance against Manchester United on Sunday.

The 21-year-old told Wales Online: "People didn't expect us to beat City, but we did. Next, we have to look to do likewise to Manchester United.

"To do the two Manchester teams, particularly in the first part of the season, would be an amazing achievement.

"But we know that we need to make our home matches count and if we can earn some reward from our matches against Manchester United this weekend and then Arsenal next Saturday, that would really send out a message."

Cardiff are currently sitting in 14th position in the Premier League table.
