Craig Bellamy: 'Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a very good manager'

Craig Bellamy describes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as a "very good manager" who can keep Cardiff City in the Premier League

Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy has described Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as being a "very good manager" who can help keep the club in the Premier League.

The Bluebirds, who are currently in the division's bottom three, underwent a managerial change earlier this season with Malky Mackay being replaced by Norwegian Solskjaer.

Despite a run of poor results, Cardiff picked up three points against bottom-of-the-table Fulham last time out to climb closer to survival.

"I have the utmost respect for what Malky did at this club and what he did for me as a person," Bellamy is quoted as saying by Wales Online. "I adore the man and will always be grateful. It's very difficult to judge a manager straight away but Ole is a very good manager.

"I think that will show over the next few years. He has been positive. Personally, I admire the way he goes about things. It's a completely different style to the last manager but he's putting his own stamp on things.

"I had a lot of respect for him as a player. He's come into a difficult situation here, but he wants us to keep believing and keep showing our character. We will do everything we can to do that. I believe we can keep our place in the Premier League."

Cardiff return to action on Saturday with a trip to face Everton.
