Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic fail to find the net in the first half of their match at the Cardiff City Stadium.

Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic have played out a goalless first half in their Championship match this evening.

Aron Gunnarsson came close for the hosts inside the opening two minutes, but he saw his effort kept out by Scott Carson.

The visitors were next to threaten when Callum McManaman's header from Andrew Taylor's cross was saved by David Marshall.

Nicky Maynard had another chance for Cardiff near the end of the first half, but he could only head wide from a corner.

In the final minute of the half Tom Adeyemi saw his long-range strike pushed away by Carson, as the two teams went into the break level at 0-0.
