Half-Time Report: Cardiff City, Birmingham City remains goalless

Cardiff City are kept out by Darren Randolph as their clash with Birmingham City remains goalless at the break.

Cardiff City have threatened to take the lead in their Championship clash with Birmingham City, but have found Blues goalkeeper Darren Randolph in fine form.

Randolph had to be alert to keep out Peter Whittingham's early corner which nearly crept into the back of the net, before Sean Morrison headed narrowly wide from another set piece.

Aron Gunnarsson's quickly-taken throw-in then created space for Fabio, but the Brazilian full-back's cross was eventually cleared.

Gunnarsson then found himself on the end of a Joe Ralls cross, but he could only direct his header inches wide of Randolph's goal.

Ralls then skipped his way clear of two Birmingham defenders and lashed an effort wide from 20 yards, but it was the goalkeepers, and Randolph in particular, that dominated the opening half at the Cardiff City Stadium.
