Sean Dyche looking for tried and tested Premier League quality

Sean Dyche says that he hopes to boost Burnley's survival prospects in January by recruiting tried and tested Premier League quality.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has revealed that he will be in the market for hardened Premier League players next month to boost their survival bid.

The Clarets will look to finish 2014 on a high after winning 11 points from their last six outings to leave them outside the relegation zone by a point.

Youngsters Michael Keane and Nathaniel Chalobah joined on loan from Manchester United and Chelsea, and despite acknowledging the importance of youth, Dyche feels that his side's hopes of survival hinges on experience.

"Our market last year was particularly different, it's slightly different now," he told the Daily Mail.

"It's not that we're not looking at younger players - that's quite obvious with Nathaniel here and Keano - we still take value in young players.

"But it is also fair to say we are looking for players who've had a feel of the Premier League. We are not necessarily a young group, but we're quite an inexperienced group as regards regular Premier League football."

Burnley face a tricky trip to in-form Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
