Newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley have reportedly approached Steven Reid and are planning to hold talks with the free agent.

Reid, 33, is without a club after leaving West Bromwich Albion at the end of his contract.

According to the Lancashire Telegraph, Reid favours a move to the North of England and will meet with Burnley boss Sean Dyche later this week.

The Irish international made 16 appearances for West Brom in the Premier League last season.
