Burnley and Bristol City fight to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor on the final day of the Championship.

Burnley and Bristol City could not be separated today as two second-half goals saw them draw 1-1.

The visitors created the first chance of the match after 15 minutes when Martyn Woolford found Brett Pitman inside the box, but Brian Jensen was equal to the City striker's effort.

The hosts had a chance of their own through Ross Wallace, but he dragged his shot wide. City responded immediately, with Chris Wood forcing Jensen to push the ball past the post.

Charlie Austin squandered a good chance for the hosts just before the break as his shot flew just past the post when he would have expected to at least test the keeper.

Burnley's Marvin Bartley tested David James early in the second half before Austin's header kept the former England number one under pressure.

Austin had a great chance to open the scoring midway through the second period, but his header from six yards out was not good enough to work James.

The deadlock was finally broken 15 minutes from time when Danny Ings got on the end of Danny Lafferty's pass to fire the home side ahead.

Their lead lasted less than five minutes, however, as Ryan Taylor cut inside before finding the bottom corner with a left-footed effort.

The result means that Bristol City drop a place to finish 20th in the Championship, while Burnley secure a final position of 13th.
