Burnley's Ben Mee: 'We are growing in confidence'

Burnley defender Ben Mee admits that he and his teammates are starting to feel like they belong in the Premier League after a recent run of good results.

Burnley defender Ben Mee believes that his side are growing in confidence due to their recent run of good form in the Premier League.

Sean Dyche's men have taken eight points from their last five matches in the top flight to move themselves off the bottom of the table.

Mee feels that he and his teammates now feel comfortable in the league after starting the season with a 10-game winless run.

The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "It's all coming together at the minute though and the feeling is changing a little bit. We're starting to get to grips with it and the belief is growing, for sure.

"We feel like we belong here and it's great to go on a little run. It's going to be a tough few weeks for us now, but hopefully we can get some good results and that will push us on even more.

"On Saturday, the pressure could be on Southampton and coming to our ground they will find out that it is not as easy as they might expect. Hopefully we can use that to our advantage."

The Clarets play Southampton in the Premier League later today.
