Ben Mee eager to continue working with Sean Dyche

Ben Mee admits that the Burnley squad are keen to keep Sean Dyche at the club beyond the end of the current season.

Ben Mee has revealed that the Burnley squad are desperate for Sean Dyche to stay at the club beyond the end of the current season.

Dyche has often been linked with other jobs since guiding the Clarets to promotion last season, but with Premier League survival still a possibility with just four games remaining in the campaign, Mee admits that he is keen to continue working him.

"He has brought a lot of the lads' games on in his time here so obviously we definitely want to keep hold of him," the defender told reporters.

"He has not just taken the selfish route and bought loads of players. He's worked with the people upstairs and done really well. It's been a good couple of years for the club to expand.

"It will be a massive challenge for us but we are looking forward to it - we still have that belief. The games coming up are massively winnable and we will look to do that, definitely."

Burnley, who are currently five points adrift of safety at the bottom of the table, meet West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.
