Burnley manager Sean Dyche "delighted" with performance

Sean Dyche is pleased by Burnley's performance against Sheffield Wednesday, despite seeing his side drop two valuable home points.

Sean Dyche has hailed his Burnley side, despite dropping two points at home to Sheffield Wednesday.

The Clarets' 1-1 draw at Turf Moor means that the club slipped to third place in the Championship table, but Dyche is not concerned.

"I thought we played some really good mixed football," the Burnley manager told the club's official website.

"It's the most effective way of putting the opposition on the back foot and we have to find that mix of playing long and then getting the fullbacks on and stretching teams.

"Other than the physical scoreline, I'm delighted with the performance. It was one of those strange ones where we have been totally dominant from start to finish in virtually every level of the game."

The draw leaves Burnley trailing leaders Leicester City by six points.
