Charlie Austin and Steven Davies each score as Bristol City and Burnley are level at the break.

Bristol City's Steven Davies has cancelled out Charlie Austin's opener for Burnley as the two sides go in level at half-time.

The first real chance came in the ninth minute, and fell to Cole Skuse for the home side, but he put his shot wide of the target.

However, straight up the other end it was Burnley who took the lead, with Austin burying a finish just a minute later.

The lead did not last long, though, and after a period of extended Bristol City pressure Steven Davies scored the equaliser in the 17th minute.

Davies then had two chances in the 22nd minute to give the hosts the lead, but both times he was unable to hit the target.

After those efforts Burnley started to come back into the game but Tom Heaton was equal to Dean Marney's effort on 25 minutes.

Heaton saved again in the 34th minute, this time from a Martin Paterson header, before Liam Fontaine skied over a minute later for the hosts.

Junio Stanislas put a free kick over the bar for the visitors before the referee blew for half-time.
