Burnley take a 1-0 lead into half-time of manager Sean Dyche's first game in charge.

New manager Sean Dyche has got his spell in charge of Burnley off to a good start as his side go into half-time of their match against Wolverhampton Wanderers with a 1-0 lead.

The hosts took the lead after 17 minutes after Martin Paterson latched on to a fine pass from Ben Mee before slotting the ball under Carl Ikeme and into the corner.

In-form Charlie Austin tried to double his side's lead just before the half-hour mark, but his shot was blocked inside the box.

Dean Marney should have got a second for his side with five minutes left, but he couldn't finish with just Ikeme left to beat.

Wolves almost punished this miss immediately, but Bakary Sako's shot flew inches wide with Sylvan Ebanks-Blake lurking.
