Bristol City boss Steve Cotterill wants aggressive approach

Steve Cotterill says that his Bristol City side must be more aggressive when they play Gillingham on Saturday.

Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill has stated that his team will need to be more aggressive when they play Gillingham at Ashton Gate on Saturday.

The Robins sit two points adrift of safety in League One ahead of the match.

After City's 3-0 defeat to Sheffield United last weekend, Cotterill has said that he wants to see more from his side.

"Whenever players go through a tough time, they need to become more determined, more aggressive and work harder," he told the club's official website.

"It is amazing what that does for you, because you don't have time to think about whether you are suffering from loss of confidence. When I use the word aggressive, I don't mean going around kicking people, I mean being aggressive in your running, aggressive in your closing down, aggressive in your aerial challenges and in your passing.

"If you focus on those things, then lack of confidence does not come into it."

City have won two of their last six league games.
