Bristol City and Blackpool have gone into half-time tied at 0-0 following a tight 45 minutes of football at Ashton Gate.
The Championship's basement club almost snatched an the lead on 10 minutes through Neil Kilkenny, who hit a powerful right-footed shot against the bar.
Veteran striker Kevin Phillips had Blackpool's best chance of the first half, forcing a good save from Tom Heaton just before the half-hour mark.
Bristol City go into the second half knowing that three points could potentially lift them above Ipswich Town and Peterborough United, while a win for Blackpool would push them towards the playoff places.
