Preview: Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Wigan Athletic

Sports Mole takes an advance look at Wigan Athletic's trip to Championship rivals Brighton & Hove Albion.

Two sides with a habit of drawing matches meet in the Championship on Tuesday as Wigan Athletic travel to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Four of the last six league games have ended in stalemate for the hosts, but they ended a run of two straight draws this weekend when they crashed to a 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth.

The Seagulls' inability to break teams down under Sami Hyypia has proven costly, leaving them just one point above the relegation zone in a season where they were tipped to challenge for the playoffs.

On-loan goalkeeper Ali Al-Habsi is likely to continue between the sticks for the hosts should David Stockdale fail to recover from injury, while the return of Chris O'Grady may be one of several changes.

Wigan could also use a win on Tuesday, heading into the match in 18th place in the table, struggling to live up to their pre-season billing as promotion favourites.

They drew 3-3 with Fulham in their last outing, and could make several changes for the trip to Brighton, including the reintroduction of James McClean and Shaun Maloney.
