Sports Mole previews Tuesday's Championship clash between Brighton & Hove Albion and Cardiff City.

Brighton & Hove Albion welcome Cardiff City to the Falmer Stadium on Tuesday looking to get their season up and running.

Gus Poyet's side started the Championship campaign in disappointing fashion, losing 1-0 to Hull City, but they have enjoyed recent success over the Welsh outfit.

Of the 29 head-to-head games played, Brighton have recorded 14 wins to Cardiff's seven, while they shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw in March.

Cardiff, who finished in the playoffs last season, opened their campaign with a 1-0 win over newly-promoted Huddersfield Town and harbour real hopes of promotion this time around.

Both sides have no real injury concerns ahead of the match, although Brighton could hand a start to Kazenga LuaLua after he impressed late on against Hull. Meanwhile, Cardiff are expected to name the same XI that triumphed on Friday.

Possible lineups:

Brighton: Kuszczak; Bruno, Greer, El-Abd, Bridge; Crofts, LuaLua, Bridcutt, Barnes; Mackail-Smith, Noone

Cardiff: Marshall; McNaughton, Taylor, Hudson, Turner; Whittingham, Cowie, Gunarsson, Mutch; Bellamy, Helguson

Sports Mole says: 1-1
