Brighton manager Gus Poyet has called for both players and fans to focus ahead of the Championship season.

The Seagulls play their first league game at the new Amex Stadium on Saturday against Doncaster Rovers.

"The team is ready for Saturday, all the staff are ready and we hope that all of the supporters are ready too, because this is a very important game for us," Poyet told the club's official website.

"We need to stop with all the talk about the new stadium because this is business now. When Saturday comes and it's 3pm we have got to be committed because this is not a celebration anymore."

The coastal club topped League One last season in Poyet's first term in charge.
