Gus Poyet says that the Brighton & Hove Albion fans can help send the club to Wembley with a win over Crystal Palace on Monday.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has urged the club's fans to make the difference to help send his side to Wembley on Monday night.

The Seagulls host Crystal Palace at the AMEX Stadium in the second leg of their Championship semi-final clash with the tie evenly poised after a 0-0 draw at Selhurst Park on Friday.

A win would see the south coast team just 90 minutes away from Premier League football, and Poyet wants the Brighton supporters to be the difference makers.

"There will not be a winner by many goals so let's see if we can use our home advantage," Poyet told the club's official website. "This tie, anywhere in the world, is 50/50 but I would always want to play in front of my fans.

"To create an unbelievable atmosphere is very important. There are moments in the game when you are doing well, and the fans are there, which subconsciously helps you even more and puts the opposition down a bit.

"The relationship between the fans and the players has been getting better and better at this club, and they all understand each other very well. That will be key, but I don't think we need to ask for anything more from them because we are playing against Palace, so it will be amazing."
