Brighton & Hove Albion suffer Kazenga LuaLua injury blow

Brighton & Hove Albion will be without Kazenga LuaLua for a "few weeks" after he damaged ligaments in his knee on Saturday.

Brighton & Hove Albion winger Kazenga LuaLua is unlikely to play again this year after damaging ligaments in his knee.

The 23-year-old limped off in the first half during Saturday's Championship match at home to Fulham and will now be out for a "few weeks", according to Seagulls boss Sami Hyypia.

"It's not an ideal situation, but it happens in football and you can't predict when these things will happen," Hyypia told the club website.

"He has the ability to hurt teams one-on-one, and maybe one-on-two as well. He has done well this season, so losing a player like him is not nice."

LuaLua has featured in all but one of Brighton's league games this season, scoring twice.
