Half-Time Report: Brighton & Hove Albion lead against Ipswich Town

Brighton & Hove Albion lead Ipswich Town 3-1 at the halfway stage of their Championship clash.

Brighton & Hove Albion have taken a 3-1 lead into the break of their Championship match against promotion hopefuls Ipswich Town this evening.

Sam Baldock made the breakthrough for the hosts in the 18th minute when he cut inside and fired a powerful strike into the far corner.

Ipswich were only behind for four minutes though, as Daryl Murphy swept home from Noel Hunt's cross.

Just before the half-hour mark Albion almost regained their lead, but Rohan Ince saw his header cleared off the line by Hunt.

In the 38th minute Brighton did manage to find the net for the second time as Joao Teixeira burst past the Ipswich defence and finished into the corner.

Teixeira grabbed his second right at the end of the first half when he slotted home Joe Bennett's cross to give his side a convincing lead at the break.
