Conor McAleny suffers broken leg

Brentford striker Conor McAleny reveals that he suffered a broken leg in Saturday's 1-0 win over Walsall.

Brentford striker Conor McAleny has taken to Twitter to reveal that he suffered a broken leg in Saturday's 1-0 win over Walsall.

The 21-year-old, who is currently on loan from Premier League side Everton, was stretched off at the weekend following a clash with Adam Chambers.

"Absolutely devastated about breaking my leg. Never been this down in my life. No point dwelling on it now because that's football," he tweeted.

"And these things happen. I know for a fact I'll come back a stronger person physically and mentally. Thanks for the kind words people."

McAleny has been tipped to break into the first team at Goodison Park.
