Half-Time Report: James Henry gives Wolverhampton Wanderers late lead

James Henry scores in the 45th minute to give Wolverhampton Wanderers a slender 1-0 half-time lead over Brentford at Griffin Park this afternoon.

James Henry struck in the 45th minute to give Wolverhampton Wanderers a slender 1-0 half-time lead over Brentford at Griffin Park this afternoon.

It took the best part of 30 minutes for either side to forge a goalscoring opportunity and it came for the visitors.

Nouha Dicko went close by forcing David Button into a smart save, before Michael Jacobs's attempts to fire the rebound were thwarted by defender Tony Craig.

The Bees responded positively to the threat of concession and nearly edged ahead minutes later through Jonathan Douglas, who found himself unmarked at the back post; however, his goal-bound effort was deflected over by Danny Batth.

As both outfits looked set to share the spoils at the break, Henry pounced in the dying embers of the half to give Wolves the lead.
