Neymar declares himself fit for Brazil's quarter-final with Colombia

Brazil talisman Neymar declares himself fit for their World Cup quarter-final with Colombia on Friday after taking a full part in the Selecao's Wednesday training.

Brazil superstar Neymar has insisted that he will be ready to play in their World Cup quarter-final with Colombia on Friday after shaking off injury problems.

The 22-year-old had been struggling with thigh and knee issues and although Selecao staff were always confident that he would recover in time to start in Fortaleza, his taking full part in training on Wednesday would have been a welcome sight.

Neymar told reporters after the session at Brazil's Teresopolis practice base: "I am able to play against Colombia. I have no pain. I feel very well trained and rest assured, I'm fine."

The Barcelona star, who has an international scoring record of 35 in 53 matches, has netted four goals at his home tournament, and trails only Colombia's James Rodriguez in the race to win the Golden Boot.
